We are proud to announce that on November 24th, the Molynor Laboratory area marked 1000 days accident free. This is an important milestone for our company and the collaborators working in this area.
Team work and good communication have been key factors to be able to work proactively, as well as the implementation of Preventive Control Programs, in order to meet this great achievement.
Macarena Barria, Superintendent of Quality Assurance tells us about the measures implemented to protect collaborators. “To achieve our goal of 1000 days accident free, we have provided the adequate PPE for each activity we perform, ongoing training, safety talks, continuous improvement related to collaborator safety and awareness of the consequences of work-related accidents.”
During one thousand days, the laboratory workers have been able to return safely to their homes, and that gives us great satisfaction here at Molynor, Macarena adds. “Realizing that we have raised awareness on personal safety for each and every one of us is an achievement based on team work, and acts as a great incentive to continue to caring for each other and improving every day.”
To achieve this, collaborators are encouraged to work as a team, and this has been crucial, along with promoting good communication, using the Preventive Control Program and 5S as a tool to identify potential risks, and taking preventive actions to generate the autonomy of each of the analysts.
“In addition to joy and satisfaction, I feel a great deal of responsibility. As we keep moving forward, the harder it is to keep our collaborators consistently on alert. To keep something from happening to them, we have to continue working to innovate and adapt, with a primary focus on zero accidents,” Macarena concludes.
